Progressive Rock Funk Fusion

Dynamic funk/rock/fusion trio URTH delivers a powerful blend of music that blurs genres and infuses crowds with high-energy grooves and infectious movement of the feet. Their unique, innovative sound and exploratory improvisation engage audiences and inspire new fans.

Frontman Brach Rauchle’s multitasking instrumental approach involves playing multiple instruments simultaneously to create a unique, multifaceted sonic & improvisatory experience as he moves between modified 7-string guitar, saxophone, vocals, electronic wind instrument & keyboard along with customized “foot keyboards” and finger triggers. The dance-inducing rhythm section of drummer Brett Reynolds and bassist Nick Kalen cement the foundation of the band with their rock-solid grooves.

URTH has performed at a variety of music festivals including The Werk Out, Camp Barefoot, Pink Moon, and Rooster Walk and has also shared the bill with acts such as Ozric Tentacles, Consider the Source, The Mantras, The Jeff Sipe Trio, The Bridge, Dangermuffin, and DJ Williams Project.

In the words of Tad Dickens, Roanoke Times music columnist: “If you haven’t heard Brach Rauchle wail on guitar, sax, keys and electronic wind instrument, you are missing out on an astounding display… and the rest of his trio – bassist Nick Kalen and drummer Brett Reynolds flat nail the grooves.”

“A sound and wisdom that exceeds their age and a passion that speaks to the heart.” ~On Tap Onlne

“Both modern and yet nostalgic just begging to scale the pop charts.” ~Jamsphere

Started by 2 brothers and their best friend in a hay loft in northern Virginia, MELODIME has evolved into a tour de force, performing for thousands and touring nationally to well over 100 shows a year. With the hope of making an impact beyond music, the band runs a non-profit foundation they started called Now I Play Along Too, which provides musical instruments and education for orphans, victims of disasters, and underprivileged kids locally and around the world.

Produced by Rick Beato (Shinedown, Parmalee, Needtobreathe), MELODIME’S latest album Where the Sinners and the Saints Collide blends haunting, bittersweet melodies with emotionally rich, storytelling lyrics into a unique brand of Southern-flavored rock that celebrates the musical past while foreshadowing the sounds of the future. With the record fully funded by their loyal and ever-growing fan base during their “Make an Album + Change a Life” campaign, the band is donating 100% of the profits from album sales to their Now I Play Along Too charity.

Lyrics, “Open the door”, by Deva Blanchard.

Hey you, out there looking for love, why don’t you just open the door and let the love come rushing in? Hey you, out there looking for love, why do you cry for the lack of golden sunshine in your head, as you sell your love as cheap as the fleeting thoughts in your head? When will we see that there is no golden shine that can fill the boundless space that makes this heart, the boundless space that is this heart?

Hey you, love’s put a hole right through you and you’re leaking, every time you try to catch that golden rain it falls right through and leaves you empty once again! Hey you, did you know you got a hole and you’re sinking. Come, my friend, bring your ship to the fires of love, let’s melt it down and rebuild it once again.

As you sell your love as cheap as the fleeting thoughts in your head, when will we see that there is no golden shine that can fill the boundless space that makes this heart, the boundless space that is this heart?

My friend, do you think that beauty is what we imagine it to be? My friend, can you imagine a world for all of us to see out of your head, with rocks, trees, flowers, and the breeze? Oh can you see the road that I’ve paved for you? When will we see that there is no golden shine that can fill the boundless space that makes this heart, the boundless space that is this heart?

Groove-based Rock, Reggae, Jam

From the suburbs of Philadelphia, with sounds infecting the East Coast and beyond, Long Miles brings you melodies from a light heart. The band likes to shine in their own way, bringing good vibes to people wherever they take the stage. With heroes like Phish, Umphrey’s McGee, Steel Pulse, and G. Love & Special Sauce, Long Miles strives to feed the need for the groovy, bouncy, feel-good tunes that make these groups so well known.

Long Miles has come a long way since their self-produced LP, 405 Productions, recorded in their freshman college dorm room in Charleston in 2009. They recorded A Philadelphonic EP with Chris DiBeneditto (G. Love & Special Sauce, Slightly Stoopid, the Movement) at Philadelphonic Studios in Philadelphia, with a November 2010 release. This March they released their latest album, Shades, recorded with Rick Beato (Trey Anastasio, NeedToBreathe, The Movement) at Black Dog Sound Recording Studios in Atlanta, Georgia.

Long Miles takes a major sonic leap forward with Shades. The album showcases their exploration of new reggae-tinged textures and jam band-influenced song arrangements, while continuing to define their signature blend of inventive lyrics and tight, dance-inducing rhythms. With tunes on the radio and consistent crowds at live shows, their potential to be a major influence on the scene can be found at every listen, and Long Miles is ready for the world.
